Plant Manager
Do you want to lead a manufacturing operation where you can truly make an impact- not just from an office, but by being in the middle of the action, shaping culture, driving production, and building something better?
This is a high-visibility leadership role with full ownership of a growing, fast-paced manufacturing facility. You won’t be stuck at 30,000 feet delegating problems elsewhere. Instead, you’ll be expected to lean in, stay close to the work, and take responsibility for how the plant performs day in and day out.
This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in an environment that still has a bit of a startup mentality- where processes are evolving, data is being built, and strong leadership can make an immediate and lasting difference.
What you’ll be responsible for
You will oversee the full plant operation, leading production while staying closely connected to what’s happening on the floor.
You will:
- Own overall production performance, ensuring schedules are met and output aligns with project timelines
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 100 employees, including 4–5 supervisors and department leads
- Drive accountability through performance management, including 90-day and annual reviews
- Establish and track KPIs, building out better data visibility to improve decision-making
- Partner closely with planning to stay aligned on scheduling across facilities, including Sedro-Woolley
- Stay actively engaged on the floor—especially early on—understanding workflows, identifying gaps, and taking real-time action
- Balance strategic oversight with a willingness to dive into the details without being asked
- Monitor team morale and maintain a strong, engaged culture across the plant
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership across production, planning, quality, inventory, HR, project management, and finance
- Oversee project-based budgets, with a focus on labor tracking and overall performance
- Lead daily communication rhythms to ensure alignment, clarity, and execution across departments
What you bring
This role requires someone who can lead from both a strategic and hands-on level—someone who is naturally curious, driven, and willing to take ownership.
You likely have:
- Experience leading a manufacturing operation as a Plant Manager, Production Manager, or similar
- A strong background in production planning, scheduling, and driving throughput
- Proven leadership experience managing supervisors and frontline teams
- The ability to build structure, implement KPIs, and use data to drive performance
- A hands-on leadership style with a consistent presence on the production floor
- Strong communication skills and the ability to keep teams aligned and informed
- A proactive mindset- you don’t wait to be told where to step in
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice to have:
- Experience in steel fabrication or similar manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or the ability to review and understand technical drawings
- Strong systems and computer proficiency
What to expect
This is a fully onsite role based in Everett, WA. The position is salaried and typically averages around 48 hours per week. While the schedule is primarily weekdays, there is an expectation to be available to support weekend shifts as needed (answer questions over the phone).
Your time will be split between the floor and the office, especially in the first 90 days where understanding the operation in detail is critical. Over time, the role will evolve to maintain strong floor presence while focusing more heavily on leadership and operational strategy.
You’ll report directly into senior leadership and play a key role in shaping the future of the operation.
Why this role stands out
This is not a maintenance role- it’s a build and improve role. You’ll have the opportunity to influence culture, create structure, and drive measurable results in a company that is growing and evolving quickly. If you’re someone who takes pride in ownership, enjoys solving problems in real time, and wants to lead a team that depends on you, this is the kind of role where you can make a lasting impact.
