The Opportunity

We’re partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on Controller to lead and strengthen their accounting operations.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with executive leadership, playing a key part in financial strategy, reporting, and operational performance. You’ll oversee the day-to-day accounting functions while also providing insights that help drive smarter business decisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP
  • Manage payroll-related accounting, including GL entries, accruals, and benefit payments
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with company goals
  • Oversee tax preparation, filings, and audits
  • Assist with annual financial audits, ensuring minimal adjustments
  • Review and reconcile general ledger activity
  • Track and monitor CAPEX projects and financial performance
  • Maintain cash flow planning to meet monthly and quarterly targets
  • Ensure timely collections, adherence to payment terms, and accurate tax remittance
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering development and accountability
  • Partner cross-functionally to provide financial insights and improve operational efficiency
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis, including inventory and cost investigations, to identify improvement opportunities
  • Participate in job cost reviews to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Leverage ERP systems to streamline processes and enhance reporting

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven ability to lead processes and improve financial operations

Nice to Have

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • CPA or CMA certification
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial modeling
